She has been teaching at Al-Khair Primary for about 7 years. She left a 15 year Banking career for the teaching profession so that she could spend more time with my own children during the school holidays. She worked in a mainstream school for 3 years before joining Al-Khair as a Reception teacher. During this period, she also completed her Early Years Foundation Degree and later qualified as an Early Years Teacher.
She is currently teaching Year 6, over the past year, she has helped to review the English and Math Curriculum across the school to improve our children’s learning and development. She is English Lead for KS2 and ensures the delivery and teaching of English Language and Literature is of a high standard across KS2. She is also the Safeguarding and Behaviour Lead, responsible for monitoring children’s behaviour across the school and helping to nurture our children in becoming well behaved, responsible individuals.
