We would like to welcome you to a new Academia year at AL Khair. We are very proud of our students in the last year and all the success they have achieved both academically and on a personal level. We would like to thank you for your continuing support in remaining with Al Khair for another year of success for your children, inshAllah
Al-Khair School continues to offer an exceptional standard of education within a caring Islamic environment. Our prime focus is to provide an excellent academic education, a range of extra-curricular activities and strong pastoral care.
At our recent Ofsted re-inspection, we have met all the independent school standards. We are aiming for outstanding in our approach to personal development, behavior, and welfare of the children.
There has been on-going investment in the school and there are further refurbishment projects for primary and secondary schools which will be continuing for the next coming year to improve our premises facilities. We are very proud to announce the completion of the following projects which have seen considerable assets to ensure we continue to provide excellence in teaching and in our academic amenities.
- New fully equipped Science Lab (Secondary School)
- New Outside Gym Area (Secondary School)
- Front Office & Internal layout refurbishment (Secondary School)
- Installation of air condition system in all classes (Secondary School)
- Installation of air condition system in all classes (Preparatory School)
Renovation of the secondary school sports hall, contemporary façade project and reception office refurbishment of preparatory school are also under consideration which will bring more value to our commitment and standards. As we continue to make improvements to ensure the school delivers high-quality education, operating needs require us to increase the tuition fees for the academic year 2020-2021 as follows:
Preparatory School fees: £5100.00* p/a (include Swimming, Qaidah & IXL payments)
Secondary Schools fees: £6000.00* p/a (include EC payments)
*implementing from September 2020
As you are also aware that our preparatory and secondary schools have been registered individually with DfE and have their own independent status, therefore we have made the following changes in our fees policy which will be implemented with immediate effect.
a) Registration Fees:
Application registration fees are now £60 which is non-refundable.
b) Fees & Sibling Discount will be applicable according to the School (New Students Only):
Fees and sibling discounts will be applied according to the schools, every school would have separate fees and sibling discounts. For instance, if you have one child at a Preparatory school and one child at Secondary school, according to the new policy, the second child will not get a sibling discount as they have to be in the same school (preparatory or secondary) in order to qualify for this discount.
c) Sibling Structure (New Students Only):
Currently, the school counts siblings from youngest to eldest which is not a standard method. According to the new policy, we will now count siblings from eldest to youngest. For instance, your child who is in Year 5 will be sibling number 1 and the second child who is in Year 3 would be considered sibling number 2.
d) Sibling Discount Rates (New Students Only):
Siblings discount rates will be calculated separately for preparatory and secondary schools. The following are the sibling discounts for both schools.

Existing Parents with 2 or More Children:
After careful consideration, we have decided not to implement the above-mentioned points (b), (c) and (d) for the parents who have 2 or more children at any Al-Khair Schools Croydon. We sincerely recognize the fact that due to having more children at Al-Khair Schools, this new policy will have a financial impact and therefore, all the existing parents who have 2 or more children will remain on the old system maintaining the same following sibling discounts. However, their sibling counting structure will change as per the point (c) from September 2020.

I hope that you agree with this as it still offers excellent value for money and is considerably less than many other similar schools in our area. I would like to assure you that the increase in school fees has been considered very carefully and was set at the minimum amount possible to reduce the impact on you.
