Fundraising for Africa!

Al-Khair School are aiming to raise money to go towards Al-Khair Foundation’s ‘Water for Africa’ Project, In shaa Allaah. The money raised will be used towards developing and installing Bore-hole water wells which will enable and ensure easy public access to clean and safe water for entire generations, In shaa Allaah.
Pupils have been asked to bring in their favorite reading book next week, Wednesday 20th November. They will then take part in a ‘50 min non-stop Reading’ activity. Please help support this most noble cause by sponsoring your child and helping them to find sponsors, In shaa Allaah. Sponsorship forms were given out yesterday and a copy has also been attached to this email.
The deadline to hand in the money raised has been fixed for Monday 25th November. Please kindly ensure that the money collected by your child, is given in an envelope and handed to the class teacher with your child’s name, class and amount clearly marked. As an incentive, a pupil from each Key Stage, who raises the most money, will be given a prize In shaa Allaah.
May Allaah accept this small deed from us all and help us to alleviate the suffering faced by the people of Africa. Ameen.
A man came to the Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وسلم) and said: “O Messenger of Allāh which Sadaqah is the one that gives the greatest amount of reward from Allāh? The Prophet ( صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “That you give in charity whilst you are in good health and you are feeling miserly and you want to covet that wealth that you possess, and you fear poverty for yourself and that you hope for riches.” (Al-Bukhāri: no. 1419)
