SIMS Parents App & InTouch Communication

Dear Parent,
We are pleased to announce the launch of SIMS Parent App and InTouch Communication System. SIMS Parent is a convenient new way for the school to share information with you about your child’s school life. InTouch will replace our current Email and Text services.
SIMS Parent
SIMS Parent allows you to access your child’s data from a smartphone, tablet or PC – anytime, anywhere. It is really easy to set up and convenient to use. You can even use your preferred social media login to access the app.
What will you find in SIMS Parent?
– Important information such as attendance, timetables, achievement, behavior, and reports.
– School term dates, inset dates and contact details.
– Notifications to remind you about important information such as key dates for your diary.
– Parents will now be able to update specific details such as contact information, medical information, dietary requirements and much more so we always have the most up-to-date information for your child.
– If you have more than one child at Al Khair, you will have access to information for all your children, from the same app.
Please note, weekly/termly attendance or other reports will no longer be sent separately as this information will now be accessible via this app.
Getting started with SIMS Parent
1. We will be sending you an activation email along with the code next week once the term has started, you will need to click on the link to activate your account. This email will be sent from Capita SIMS (noreply@sims.co.uk). If you cannot find this email, please check your junk mail and ensure it has not been marked as SPAM.
2. You can then log in using either your Google, Facebook, Twitter or Microsoft accounts.
3. Download the app from the Google Play or Apple App store – search for SIMS Parent; Or from a PC or phone, login online at www.sims-parent.co.uk.
Please note that your activation email is unique to you and should not be used by anyone else. If you have not notified us about others requiring parental responsibility, simply make the request within the app and we will issue an activation email.
Your activation email will expire after 14 days if it is not used, please email either primary@alkhairschool.org.uk or secondary@alkhairschool.org.uk accordingly if you require a replacement after this date.

The school will now be using InTouch system to send emails and text messages, please note you will receive emails from the following email address:
